Reasons Why It Is Never Good To Panic
For those who know the importance of panic, they will surely disagree with someone who’ll say panic never helps. Panic is a sudden, overwhelming feeling of terror that affects a person’s mind and behavior. When people are under panic attack, they may feel so frightened that they make sudden decisions without thinking through.
Panic helps in times of danger. It acts as the body’s defense system against threats. Because of panic, people develop the courage to jump off a high place in order to save their lives. Some can run so fast just to avoid being hurt. However, not every scary situation requires panic to survive. In fact, some of these times require a calm disposition and a clear mind.
An example of this is a plane having mechanical problems 2000 feet in the air. At this moment, it is up to the pilot to do everything in order to save the passengers’ lives. He must be relaxed and have a clear mind so he could weigh options and choose the right decision. A pilot that’s panicking at this point will surely bring everyone to peril.
Another common instance where panicking doesn’t help is when people run out of funds when they just lost a job, had a medical procedure that drained all their savings, and other domestic related causes. During these times, the thought of bills to be paid, food to be bought, allowances for children, and car loans are just too much to bear. And so people panic. Their behavior changes and their minds clouded.
Because they can’t think clear and want an easy way to end the problem, some would decide to sell properties which they would regret later. People do desperate measures during desperate times. When they need money, they think of the first thing to sell or worst, think of doing something bad to themselves to end the problem.
However, there are surely a lot of alternatives out there that could help them out of the situation. They could borrow money from banks or family. They can come to financial institutions that specialize on these cases. Or they could wait a little more to find a job and get back on track again.
There are just a lot of ways people can do to get out of scary situations. They just need to have focus, a relaxed mind, and patience to search for other terms. Panic never helps during these times. And surely, everyone will agree this time.
