Quantitative Approach in Commodity Trading
Watch this recent video that Andrew made at a money show conference in Pasadena California in June. He discusses a quantitative approach to commodity trading & trend following. The discussion is based on the tactical approach of commodity trading and trend following. If you want to learn how to be a better commodity trader…or how to start making money in these markets these videos are recommended. On the video Andrew discusses the exact methods in which the commodity pool in which he co manages is operated. More so… he discusses his persoanl experiences of what has gone wrong in the trading of novices..as well as what has the potential overtime to generate positive returns. Trading is all mechanical in which the strongest markets are purchased and the weakest markets are sold. The markets are determined by relative strength or rate of change. Multiple mechanical systems are used for entries and stops are based on standards of deviations from entries. The entries are all based on low risk entries. Trades are passed upon if the risk per trade exceeds 1% in most cases… or if the sector has more than 5% of an allocation …or lasting if open trade equity supercedes a preset level.
The website of myinvestorsplace teaches new commodity as well as established commodity traders what stands the possibility to work over time and what is needed to succeed in the commodity markets. The main two keys (holy grail) that Andrew believes are patience and discipline. Trend followers such as Andrew do not make predictions. Rather they react to price changes visavee mechanical systems with a pre thought risk and money management plan.

Futures and commodity trading involve substantial risk.People can and do lose money trading.
My name in Andrew Abraham. I have been investing in commodities and managed futures since 1994. I am a commodity trading advisor/co manager of a commodity pool who adheres to the philosophy of trend following. Trend following stresses a disciplined approach to commodity/ futures trading. Successful trend following and commodity futures investing requires patience, discipline and actively managing the risk. What sets us apart from other Commodity trading advisors and commodity pools is that we are not only concerned about the return on investment but how much risk you will have to tolerate to achieve your goals.
