American Express credit card or called AMEX credit card, is one of the most popular names and most used credit card wordwide. many card holders who already have MasterCard or Visa credit cards in their wallet are still want to apply for an American express credit card.
American Express credit card come in multiple varieties that were made to cater to the varying needs of credit card consumers. Each one is tailor made for a certain types of credit card consumers.
Along with American express and Visa/Mastercard there are difference between these two companies and American Express. Well the difference is quite simple.
Visa and MasterCard are both payment providers. They have a system which they allow business to use in order to accept payments using these cards. Visa and MasterCard are issued by banks rather than by the companies themselves. While American Express credit card is a very different arrangement. Not only do they have their own payment system, but the American Express credit card is also issued directly to credit card cardholders by American express itself. So they are running the whole show. If a credit card says American Express on it, you know instantly who issued it, what payments system it utilities and everything else about the American express credit card.
